Description
Die Blüten der Färbertagetes färben Stoffe und Garne gelb-orange, zusammen mit Eisenbeize ergeben sich kräftig dunkle Töne. Diese Variante kann sowohl leuchtend orange wie auch gelb blühen.
This annual is best planted in a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich soil. This marigold variant grows up to 80cm high and is beautiful in mixed plantings. Like smaller marigolds, they are good partners in mixed cultures and are effective against nematodes.
The large, double flowers don't just contain dye, they are also edible. Marigold is also traditionally used as a medicinal plant. You can harvest flowers from the plants several times, and if there are no early frosts, they will bloom well into late autumn.
The seeds were grown in Berlin. I offer a kit with several dye plants.
