Description

This magnificent sunflower is also known as Tceqa ‘Qu‘ Si (source Nativeseeds.org). This variant of the sunflower, has seeds with deep dark hulls. It can grow very tall and blooms abundantly.

The seeds are traditionally used to dye, for example fibers for basket weaving. The seeds come from organic farming in France. They can also be used to dye textile fibres. This dye plant doesn't have the best colour fastness, but the hues are beautiful. I recommend them for bundle dye especially.
